FS: Mantis Shrimp

Would anyone be interested in purchasing a mantis shrimp? I have yet to catch him, but it's any day now. He is about 1-2" long and appears to be black/purplish. Let me know if your interested.

Most people will not buy mantis shrimps...someone may be able to give it a good home, but they are considered pests unless you keep a tank for only them, in which case they can be pets. I've yet to hear of someone purchasing one, though...

Hey its worth a shot. If I can score some frags or cash out of it, the happier I'll be. Otherwise once I catch him I'll keep him in his own tank and keep him myself.

If people didnt purchase them, they wouldnt be for sale on livestock sites.

That is why I said most people, not all people. Most of the time when I see them on for sale sites, they sit there for months at a time...but hey, what do I know? Also, when we live in FL and they are extremely prevalant here, I have never seen one on ORCA forum get sold for money...frags, yes. I have seen plenty given away and I actually got mine along with a tank, filter, heater and rock for free(thanks LoweredRanger)...not to say someone won't, just most people(especially due to location) won't.

If you can find anyone giving away that much free stuff, feel free to let me know, I could always use free stuff.

As for not being able to sell it, If I can I can, if not oh well

Ok pic is coming soon, He is completely lime green with orange feet. He is about 1 1/2". Not sure of the species yet.

Alrighty, it is confirmed that he is indeed a Neogonodactylus wennerae. He is in an overflow box on my counter at the moment. Here is a picture of him!!

IM gonna pass, already have a N.W. was hoping for a black/purple mantis Good luck, not sure if youll have luck selling but Im sure someone on the mantis forum would be interested in free, or possibly swapping frags, give them a shot or give him a tank of his own, there coll little pets.

Well the count is up to 2, I have this little guy and one that is more of a brownish color and a little bit bigger.

I still swore the one I saw yesterday was darker, but I may have been wrong, the clicking has stopped for the moment but we shall see how it goes.
