FS: PanWorld 50PX-MD30R External Water Pump - 590gph

As new PanWorld 50PX-MD30R External Water Pump - 590gph. I just got it today and it has too much flow and is too loud for my taste. Asking $125 for local pickup.

Also considering PanWorld 40PX-MD20R External Water Pump - 480gph (assuming this model does not have the fan) or Poseidon PS1 External Pump for trade.

you can do a mod to that fan to quiet it down. also put a ball valve on it to bring down the flow. I took the shroud and fan off mine and replaced with a 3 inch fan...much much quieter. search the forums.

Mine took about 3 or 4 days to settle in and is now totaly silent. I also use a gate valve on the return side to control the flow.

I saw the mod with the heatsink and fan. I already had the fan off tonight and considered the mod. I'm just not in the mood so I put it back together. I have ball valves on both ends, but figure if I am going to limit the flow, I might as well get a smaller pump that will use less electricity.

I also have a Poseidon/Velocity PS3 and a Mag 18 that I am willing to trade/sell.

If you are restricting the intake of the pump with a ball valve that is why you have so much noise. You can only restrict the output side.

exacly...only restrict the ouptut....otherwise your asking for vibration and pump damage. I just used a 3 inch pvc coupling and a 3 inch fan..some zip ties , a few holes and bammm,,I was in business. whole thing took me 15 mins.

No, I was restricting the output. I have ball valves on both sides to facilitate maintenance. The fan is still too loud for my taste and the Velocity pump is adding too much heat to the water. I need a quiet pump with 3/4" MPT fittings that pumps ~500 GPH.
