I built this stand a good while back and never was able to use it. I ended up selling it to a fellow MTRC member, and then bought it back from him when he decided to move to Chattanooga.
<BR>
It is VERY HEAVY DUTY. Framed with 2x4s and wrapped with birch plywood. It's not the nicest birch, but it's a heavy duty, dense plywood. It is unstained, so it could be painted or stained to whatever color you like. There is a patch of soot on the front of it from an old SAAB I had parked in front of it. One day when I started the car, that crap came out the tailpipe. I've sanded part of it off since I took these pictures, just to ensure that it is removable. (It is...)
<BR>
The stand is 48.5 x 18.5 x 43. It is a standard footprint for a 75g, 90g, or 120g tall. Being 43 inches high, it puts the tank right at eye level for most people, so you don't have to stoop to look into the tank.
<BR>
The canopy is framed with 2x2s and again, wrapped with the same plywood. It has two doors on the front that open, and the entire front panel lifts up for easy access to the tank.
<br />
The canopy has two MH lights installed in it already, although you'll want to change the bulbs if you are keeping a reef tank. This was setup for a freshwater tank, using 6500K bulbs. The ballast is included. If I'm not mistaken, they are 175W, and I think they are PFO brand, or the similar ebay knock off.

NeveSSL from MTRC is heading to Knoxville for Thanksgiving and has willingly offered to deliver it to Knoxville for anyone interested. Or you are more than welcome to come to Spring Hill, TN to pick it up. Spring Hill is about 1 hour down I-840 from where I-40 hits I-840 in Lebanon, TN.
