It is possible that I will accept trades, but I'm mainly looking for LE corals, sps, acans, micros, chalices, zoos that I don't have.

Interested in the Tunze skimmer if it'll fit in my grow out system..
Any more info?
Again You can look at my corals..

As listed on Marine Depot:

Description
The "Nano" model series has been designed for the use in reef biotopes up to 200 liters (52 gal.) and is gentle to the plankton in operation. The DOC Skimmer 9002 removes up to 80 percent of organic waste matter, such as protein and cellulose, from the aquarium water. Very little space is required in the aquarium, and its handling is very easy. On account of their construction, these models are particularly quiet during operation. On account of the high demands in stony coral aquariums, this skimmer should be used only in aquariums with about 100 liters (26 gal.) of water. Mixed aquariums or soft coral aquariums up to 200 liters (52 gal.) can be set up without any problems.

Delivery condition: Ready for mounting with holding device for vertical panes and horizontal glass tops up to 19mm (0.74 in). For tanks with a thicker rim, a Tunze Holder Extension M5x55mm, 3000.244 (TZ1531) is needed.

Principle
By means of the water jet of the Nano pump and a high-performance jet, a fine pearly air mixture is produced with is released into an easy-to-clean skimmer cup through a newly developed reflection system. The protein-containing aquarium water diffuses into the skimmer through the opening in the bottom and on the rear, which is gentle to the plankton, thus suitable in particular for breeding tanks with living plankton.

LOL! Well, it is a nano skimmer, so you really can't compare it to an in sump skimmer. With that being said, it actually worked relatively well, albeit on my 22g nano(that will be listed momentarily) with 3 small fish, so there wasn't all that much to skim. The Deltec did a better job, but it's also significantly larger, a HOB rather than in tank, and is more expensive.

So is it worth $100 for what it does, or do you think gettting a bigger one for a 20G tank would be better?
I have NO experience in nano skimming so that's why all the questions..
I've just read how people hate the "Fission Nano Skimmer"and don't want to drop money on something I won't use that does not work...

You know what I mean..
;)

$100, sure. Full price, no. It kept my tank clean for 3 months with Amm, nitrite, and nitrate undetectable. For a 20g, you can only put so large a skimmer on it before there is not enough organics in the tank for it to operate effectively. That is where this fits in.
Personally, I would not use this on an SPS tank over 30g, but that is just me, regardless of what Tunze claims on their ratings.
Steve, if you buy it and totally hate it, I'll take it back and refund you. I don't want to sell crap to people I like. Sooo, I'd just sell it on the national board, LOL!

Looks like getting this skimmer dialed in will be a tad hard.
I set the air down to keep it from overflowing into the cup, and then come back 30 mins later and it's filled the cup with tank water. Crank down the input air some more, come back and same story all over again..

Ahh something to fiddle with again!! I love to play with stuff, and this should fill the void for a few days :)

I'll post pics when I get some real skimate outa this baby!!
Thanks for droping by, hope the frags do well in your tank..

No problem. I assume you've got the water level of the skimmer set, ie at the wavy line. Yeah, you can't run this thing wide open. I did do a vinegar bath and scrub, so it'll take a little while to dial in.

Wow!!! well it took WAY longer than I would have ever expected to get this Tunze 9002 dialed in, but it's producing some nice thick green skimmate now.

Every day I have been tweaking with this thing here and there, and today I came home, and it had pulled out some nice stuff!!!

I was on the verge of giving up, and calling it a "hunk o junk"
Glad I held in there, it seems to have been worth it..
Once it pulls a nice cup out, I'll try and post a picture.

If this thing keeps it up, I'd say it a skimmer that's well worth the cost, and a VERY nice package size too.

Well, that's about right. As I mentioned, I figured it would take a good week to break back in after it's thorough cleaning. Glad it's finally working for you.

LOL!! Well, 14+ yrs, multiple tanks, all being broken down around the same time, and the fact that I really don't want to pack it up, move it, and just leave it in storage for the forseable future. All that is left is the 60g itself, with the stand, canopy, sump and lighting. Unfortunately, the value of used tanks and stands seems to be going right through the floor lately.

Steve, I was cleaning out the cabinets a bit and just came across the manual. If you want it, I can give it to you when you drop off the pressure washer.
