FS: Valentini Puffer

Cool Fish. He hovers around like a hummingbird! Will eat shrimp from your hand. I hate to get rid of him but he has decided some of my corals make a nice snack, mainly my lobo and leather toadstool (and the lobo isn't fun to look at in the sump!).

He is about 3" long and a pig when it comes to dinner time. Loves shrimp (krill, mysis, brine) and has even been seen eating pellets. He needs live rock to help to keep his teeth in check or an occaional hard shell shrimp or snail. He has not killed off my snail population so he is pretty good with snails.

$30 and he is your entertainment!

I just got one a week ago, really cool fish. They are a smaller puffer only getting to be about 4 inches. It seems to like carnivore type foods (clam, krill, pe mysis shrimp) although they are supposed to be omnivores. They aren't considered reef safe because it can kill inverts, snails, & some coral. I see it peck at the live rock frequently and chewing like it is hunting pods? so far haven't had any issues with zoa's, frogspawn, candy cane or monti caps that I have in my tank.
