FTS from everybody!

Well after Nate's Bday Tang thread, and everyone asking for an updated FTS from him, I had an idea. I know that this STRS section hasn't been up and running quite like it was over the past year. Even so, there has been quite a few new members joining the ranks! I was hoping to get everyone to post thier latest FTS of thier current system/systems. I know there are still a few pretty new tanks (Neoz, Bently23 and others), but that doesn't matter. I'm just interested to see what everyone else around here is running and how things have been progressing for everybody. Anyways.................here's the latest FTS of my tank. It's a few months old, but I have been slacking on maintenance, and it hasn't looked quite as nice since this pic.

Please everyone join in with the most recent FTS of your tanks!

Sounds like a good idea. Let me snap some pics of my 180 gallon frag tank! :wavehand: Like you said still growing....

Oh sure like who wants to follow Adams Pic

Thats like bringing a Ferrari to a go-cart race.. Nice Shot.

For what its worth Adams tank looks even more stunning in person then the picture.

Right!?!?! that is just rediculous!!! I've been egging him on to get a bigger tank :spin1:

For those that might remember, my old 125 which I had to dismantle this past July in preperation of my move...sniff, sniff:(

And currently my much more humble 65 gallon office tank

I'll also have to get some recent shots of the zoo tank.

Wow Brian, really nice. I really like the scape and look. Those gorgonians are sweet. Have you considered adding an anemone?

Adam - I knew you'd come in and embarrass everybody! HAHA!!! But seriously the tank looks great. I just looked at the pics before you removed the caps, and now it looks much more open in a way.

Brian - I love that tank! I never have been drawn to the tall tanks, but yours sure is sweet. The right side is really cool with all the different softies and zoas

Dr. - It is a real shame that you had to tear down that 125, but at least you still have the other tank at the office.

Keep em coming everyone! I'm sure it will take some time but hopefully everyone can get their pics on.

On a side note, I just had to run to my friends house (Bently23) last night for what his girlfriends dad told him was an emergency leak! Nothing was leaking that I could see but I turned everything off for him since he was out of town and didn't want this brand new setup flooding or anything before he could get back. Anyways..........His tank is really awesome. It's a DIY 16"x16"x14" cube. The rocks are set up in one big arch across the entire tank which looks pretty sweet. There's a 10g sump that I couldn't get too good of a look at but it's at least got a nice size fuge section. I think he's running a 175 SE MH and a 70 DE MH. I'm not too sure about the rest of the specs on the tank, but I have a feeling it's going to be an awesome nano!

Come on cully. Where's your pic?

I just took a large rock full of GSP out and traded it for a new K4 powerhead. Also got some more sand from a friend. New FTS for me already!

Those pix represent the best of times. I've had my trials and tribulations like anyone.

Here's the stylo, best I can do:

p.s. Brian, my wife LOVES your tank. She's got a pretty keen eye these days after seeing our tank develop and doing a fair amount of surfing on RC. Kudos my man, really excellent tank!

Jim, anyone with the cajones to put a bicolor angel in their reef tank is OK with me!

Some awesome tanks here! We may be smaller in number, and the some displays may be smaller than they were, but there are clearly some very dedicated and talented reefers on this forum. Great to see. BSamuelson, Reefscape....NICE! And of course Adam, forgetaboutit:)... and Culley...I have get up to Syracuse and see those monster colonies for myself. Keep 'em coming folks. Still waiting on Nate and others.

Adam, Thanks. I've been saving the lower left spot for a larger anemone, but I hate the idea that it might not stay where I put it. I have Nate to thank for the center piece grog.

The original idea was mainly hard corals on the left but I have had better luck with the softies on the right. I just let parameters get away every now and then and the hard corals haven't always recover. I can truly appropriate the effort in the other tanks here that have all the hard coral growth. It keeps me trying harder.

Cully, thanks. As you know 48 x 24 x 31 tall means you never get to touch the bottom, but that is the only draw back. I love the shape.

i'm a tweener yo!

Tweeners are always welcome here. We gladly accept dual membership (URS (or any other) and STRS). If you live in NY or PA (or even Australia for all I care) you are welcome to call yourself a STRS member. We like to keep it casual around here!

BSamuelson that is fantastic! :eek1: I especially like the right side. I don't think I have seen your tank before, very nicely done! Gives me some ideas for my tank...

I will try to get a FTS tonight.
