FTS from everybody!

Cully - Thanks for the props! I've had Dwarf Angels in my reef for about 3 years now. I had a False Lemonpeel for a good year and that was definitely a great fish. I added a Rusty Angel with that one and I didn't know it had a fungus, which spread to the False Lemonpeel and they both ate it. That sucked....But a few months went by and I needed another Angel, and that one was at the LFS so I scooped it up. It's been a pretty nice addition. Lots of activity, pretty good algae control. I've caught it nip at a Kenya Tree and Green Paly's, but I've never noticed any damage to them or any other corals in the tank.

Keep the pics comin! I'd love to see everyone's eventually!

Here are a few shots that Carol was nice enough to take. I had a bit of a die off due to me being gone, equipment crapping out, and just not having the time, but Carol has done a great job of bringing it back to life. The SPS are bouncing back and showing good growth again.....She deserves a big present....maybe a bigger tank....

Wow guys there are some really great tanks here! Great thread and tank reefscape15! Cully that Blue coral in the middle of your tank is sweet!! Pircs the tanks are looking good, seems they are on the upswing. That is great to see! Well one day late but as promised finally a FTS of my new "direction". It still has a way to go but things are starting to come together...

Nate...killer display. That is my small display idol tank. hard to believe that is only 65 gallons. I love the mix of softies, gorgonians, clams, ricordea and sps along the rockwork. And of course that rose anenome really stands out. I call dibs on the first split:) I'd love to see displays like this featured as TOMS as ooposed to just huge sps displays powered by tons of state of the art equipment that few of us working class mortals could afford. Way to go nate!

Hey Nate, Still have some of that crayola plana table?

No, that was one of the colonies I sold and I not sure what happened to the small frag I kept. I am sure someone around here has a frag of it but I am not sure who.

Thanks Jerry! I completly agree with you about the TOTM tanks too. It would be cool to see some softy tanks or smaller tanks in there, if for no other reason than it would give me ideas for my tank. I used to hope that my tank would be TOTM someday but to be honest I don't care about that anymore (not that I would turn down the honor but it's certainly not the goal of my current tank). Looking back that was one of the reasons I went with a smaller tank. I realized being TOTM is not that big of a deal and that I actually enjoy the smaller tanks more than the big ones. Everything is easier with a small tank and less stressful. The big tank was causing me too much stress and too much work. I really enjoy my tank much more now and that to me is way better than being TOTM. :)

Nate nice looking. Your tank has undergone a face lift since I seen it last. Looks great and I can only imagine what it will look like when your done with it.

Cully as always your tank looks super. You have some crazy size colonies. But one of my favorite is still the blue cap in the middle. I'm going to have to try my hand at that once my tank is all ready.

Well better late then never but here is my full tank shot. I did a before and after. Still have a long long way to go. Still updating equipment and learning how to stabilze the parameters. Once I'm successful there I'll be adding the nice stuff...

Nate, the tank is looking amazing. That's one sweet mixed reef.
Neoz, that tank is looking good and filling fast... you're going to run out of room in no time

Finally Nate!!! Just as I expected, I love it. I really take to heart what you're saying about the labor it takes to maintain an SPS dominated system. We are planning on moving this spring or summer and it'll be a chance to go in a slightly different direction. I will be incorporating more LPS and softies in the new tank. I have a gorg and a few leathers stashed away too.

My first love will always be SPS so I'm sure it's still gonna be a 70/30 split. It might be a challenge trying to keep everything happy. But, being a dad not, family happiness comes first, then the tank.

Kudos again Nate!

Thanks Mark and good luck with the move! Surf&turf and Neoz both very nicely done! Your tanks have come a very long way in such a short amount of time. I am very impressed

Neoz that is a Pocillopora. I personally think it is Pocillopora verrucosa but I am not an expert at coral ID so I can't be sure. Here is a close up of the mother colony...

Nice reefboarder, those pink palys are sweet! Also are those eagle eyes zoos at the bottom right? They are really nice too!

Re: FTS from everybody!

Thank you. Bottom right are sunset or sunburst or something like that and I have some eagleseye/whammin watermelon they are just under the krypto candy on the arch in the center.

Neoz - Great progression with your tank! I know mine didn't look like that after only 7 months. Really filling out nicely!

Surf&Turf - I'd also like to know the stats on your tank. It looks pretty filled up

Nate - I love the new direction that your going with your tank, and I have some plans to gear mine towards more softies also. I too like what you've said about the TOTM, and as it would be pretty cool, I think your tank should be exactly how you want it, and who cares what others think about it?

Reefboarder - I LOVE the rockwork in your tank! Very creative!

i was thinking the exact same thing! Those orange ones in bottom right really jump out at ya!

Neoz, you've come a heck of a long way in a short time my friend. Lookin good buddy!!!
