Fuge light question

okay guys the next phase of this thread can we please post these fixtures in action i want to see what there lighting before i pull the trigger for my up flow scrubber

I was looking at this with reds and blues. I read this spectrum would be good? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452997673.375160.jpg

My refugium is 36"x30". I have two 20w 6500k LED floods and 2 10w 6500k LED flood lights like I mentioned earlier in the thread. There is are two other 10w ones on there but it's not connected since I added the 20w ones. These lights sit on my acrylic lids and are about 6" from the water's surface. I could get away with much less light if they weren't so close to the water's surface and also not shining through a dirty acrylic lid.

In this refugium I have a deep sand bed, Chaeto, a stunted mangrove and some other macro and what ever other algae grows in there.

The lights just started coming on and only half were lit when I took these pictures.

I actually had one of those and it was pretty weak to be honest.. I am trying the below, and while it indeed does grow cheato, it's not shaping up to be as good as my hps 150..

MarsHydro Mars300 LED Grow Light with Veg/Bloom Spectrum for Hydroponic Indoor Greenhouse/Garden Plant Growing, 132W True Watt Panel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XC3LBI2/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_re4Mwb3C0AFB0

While these lights are terrific and are what I have been recommending, I am not sure that will solve your growth issue if my suspicions are correct.

I have to agree whole hearted.

I tried the 30w 6500k

A 45w e27 red/blue growlight

13w CFL

23w CFL

Added iron

And my chaeto will not grow, my GHA is also disappearing :p

So ill try a ATS now and use these lights for that. 250g total water volume and I only feed 1 cube a day.

I run a cheap clip on work light from Lowes, with a 5000k CFL day light bulb. I can keep up with my chetto its grows so much. I have friends that just started up new tanks and I told them not to buy any I will give them a bunch of it. That was just a week ago and now it looks like I never touched it.
