Fuge light ?

What kind of floodlight bulb do you get from the hardware store for a fuge? I know its a floodlight of sorts but couldn't figure it out today. I got one with a florecent center but not sure if its the right kind. Anyone running one? Do you have good results? Thanks..

I used that bulb as well and had decent growth. It wasn't near as good as a lot of people said, but that may have to do with the specifics of each tank.

I use the bulb from Melevs thread also...decent growth like others mentioned.

This is probably the one you are looking for. They have them at home depot. Just wire a cord on it and it is good to go. I have 2 of them with actinic suppliments on my seahorse tank and it grows macro algae very well even though I don't want it to. :lol: I also have 3 on a freshwater planted tank and the plants grow very well. I had one not work from the start but I just took it back and they exchanged it.
