Fungus? (pics)

Greetings,

I have a Fu Manchu that has been in QT for a little over a week. He is eating well and active. Some large flukes came off him after a freshwater dip (in buffered and temp adjusted water) and tomorrow will be the sixth day of treatment with PraziPro, and the second to last tank transfer (precaution vs. C. Irritans).

He has darkened up since I bought him, but he is still discolored in places. Is this a fungus?

Any recommendations on how (and if) to treat him would be greatly appreciated. He seems content, but the discoloration causes me concern. But then again I don't want to over-medicate the fish. Thanks and cheers,
Austin

Not sure about the discoloration, but I would hit him with a second round of Prazi ASAP.

First round kills the Flukes, second round 5-7 days later kills the babies from the eggs left behind.

I can't tell from the pics. Fungal infections are rare in fish and usually follow a bacterial infection. The real give-away on fungus is a fuzzy or cottony texture. If this is the case, its fairly easy to treat in the QT.

Ok guys, thanks for the replies. I'll go in for another round of prazipro and then wait and see... and I'll try to take better pictures if the discoloring becomes worse. Thanks!
