my powder brown just picked up some fungus on his left pectoral fin. looks like a small white round patch a little bit smaller then the size of a pencil eraser. can i use a freshwater dip to get rid

dips normally aren't effective on fungal infections however some what may appear to be fungal are actually bacterial or viral.. you can try to treat the fish with melafix and pimafix combined see if it improves but if no changes or worsens I would go to a more evasive medication .to a broad spectrum antibiotic.. I see several people here using prazi pro for just about everything I have no experience with this product maybe someone will chime in with that info for you

what about the new product my instant ocean called lifeguard. It is supposed to be fairly safe and effective. Has anyone tried this product for fungus
