funny photoperiod refugium occurrence

Something funny,

I've got a fuge with grape, razor caulerpa and red gracilaria. Had it on a 24 hour photoperiod. the algae lost all it's color and went clear, stopped it's growth almost completely (i used to pull it out by the handfulls before). been like that for over a month. I just put the timer back on and gave like 5 hours darkness and now the color is coming back and it's growing.
what do ya know,

i have the same weirdness happening, some of it has color, but most doesnt.... ......i used to go 24/7 in the fuge, but the light went out for 2 days and i just noticed this today....maybe it will come back now
