furan 2

I am having some problems with my zoanthids not opening up and some polyps have completley died off. I noticed some whit spots on some stalks that resembled zoa pox and i found where i cold dip them in some hydrogen peroxide/fresh water as a treatment, i tried that and the water began to bubble as it would if you poured the peroxide onto a cut. is this normal? anyways it din't seem to help much as the polyps still aren't opening up. So i managed to find some furan 2, it is not the capsule but the individual powder packets from API i believe. How do i go about creating the dip mixture for these corals? the box just says to dump in the aqaurium itself, any input would be great. Thanks
