i was originally researching sw stingrays. with the idea that i do a big upgrade, i can turn my 180g into a cortez stingray tank. then someone in an old thread mentioned fw stingrays, so i'm just getting ideas.
it is, you dont have to mix in salt when doing huge water changes
I never employed any other no3 reduction methods, as I feel like they mostly alter with PH too much. I gues u can get away with less water cahnged if u do ...
prety easy to do water changes on FW though .;...
po4 ions for PH stabalization [as opposed to fixing PH based on KH]
and drift wood, and conditioned tap water
but I think they too get up to 13-14 " ... stingrays in small tanks go crazy ! they start to swim in patterns, and eventually loose their appetite, and ...
keeping no3 low in a 75 G is prety hard as well. it will require daily 50% water changes almost. which makes it much harder to match the new water ph and so on ... but just me personal opinion. if the teacups you are thinking about dont grow large then it might be a diffferent story
