G S P Question

I have a quick question. I have just taken out a soccer ball size section of gsp that I had on some rocks and moved it into my sump. I was starting to grow all over the place. Will it die in my sump..? I want to still use the rocks in the sump if I can but have no need for the gsp. Or should I give it away..? I have very little light in my sump right now. I am going to assume that i should give it away but I want to check first and see if it will be fine in my sump.

Give it away as long as you can find takers. If it will live in your sump, fine. It does need light.

So with very little light it will eventually die off ? I would like to keep it in my sump because it has a lot of life form on the rocks but don't want it to be a bad thing for my tank in the long run.

I have some growing in my sump right now. It can grow down there if you give it light

Get a shoplight with a 6500k CFL floodlight. It's what I use.

Yea I don't want the gsp but it's on 5 nice size rocks with a lot of life on it.

it will be fine in your sump until you can give it away... maybe even sell it to you local LFS for a credit... you might only get $10..... but $10 is $10
