she finally molted!!!
she is completely green! looks weird.
Ne ways my question is how long should she stay in her hole for? My others never showed signs of molts and after molts didnt hide, cept this one is.
I believe mine just molted since it didn't eat for a couple of days and then stayed holed up for almost two weeks. The first day Marty opened the hole he only stuck his head out for about a half hour. The next two days he didn't open up at all that I noticed. The fourth day he opened up for a few hours and he eagerly took a piece of shrimp I offered him. The next two days he finally left the hole and wandered around the tank for a few hours. He now seems to come out about 9-10AM and closes back up around 2-3PM.
I am new to all of this and have only had Marty for about 6 weeks. I found him in a piece of live rock that was destined for my 24G AP, kept him in a 3G Eclipse until I could buy and set up a 12G Eclipse just for him. He has only been in his new tank for four weeks.
Mine was more of a brown color and it is getting more ative each day. Once it started leaving its hole it got pretty fiesty and maybe hungrier after all that time. It has eaten an astrea and a margarita and yesterday it punched my damsel. It used to not even hardly glance at the damsel but I guess it got a little too close. When I fed the damsel yesterday Marty shot out of a secondary hole and grabbed one of the little pieces of shrimp so I took that as a sign he wanted something more to eat and didn't feel like taking all day to get into a snail. I fed him a piece of shrimp on a stick and for the first time he came way out of the hole to get it. Here's a picture of him:
