G.viridis problem

About a week ago my mantis started to move not in a ordinary way but in "jumps", sort of like folding knife movement. I were thinking that he was geting to molt but it only changed colors and no molt has happened. He eats normaly...well, if i put a frozen shrimp next to his "hands", sometimes he even attacks the feeding stick ;]. Pereiopods and pleopods work normaly so i think that there is a problem in telson area.
Any sugestions on what has happened to my pet ?

If the animal changed color then it either molted or tried to molt. Typically we do not see any noticable color change without a molt occurring. Bottom line, the animal is in trouble. There really isn't anything you can do except feed it small amounts of food.

How often should we feed it the little amounts of food? I think the same thing might be happening to my mantis.

What ever it will take. A piece of food about half the size of the carapace is about right.
