....So Ive had this guy awhile, I grow phyto for the tank and I grow copepods for him. Well today was enriched baby brine shrimp day ( I know my life is so sad ) they hatched, had their selcon and I went to start feeding, I pull up the top and there is my beloved mandarin whom decided to commit hari kari by trying to jump out!
I found him sticky, nasty and dryed to the glass top, I assumed he was dead and I went to pick him up for the garbage and he wiggled.
skeered the bejesus out of me!!
I put him in a small box and when he hit the water he started to breathe ( all be it ...labored) and became covered in this HUGE slime ball, like gum, he couldnt swim in it. I put antibiotics in the water with him and he actually seems better...I dont know if he will make it, but he looks nasty.
here are pics , on one side he is good, but the side that was faceing up and got dryed out is bad.
this isnt his skin peeling off , it is globs of slime...blech....
