I have an ASM Mini skimmer, put a gate valve on it, worked fine for about 3 days. Emptied the cup today, plugged it back in, and it instantly started overflowing - filled the cup by the time I could open the valve. As I opened the gate valve, it went back to where it should be - then 30 seconds later it drops way down.
Any ideas why this is happening? Is it because I have too many elbows on the output? I'm going nuts here - it worked for a bit, now it's being psycho!
Not seen here, but off the output I have a T, the gate valve is after the T and an up-pipe to the top of the skimmer cup.
