Just spoke to Brian from Honda of Glendale and they cannot match the $869 + no tax + free shipping for the Honda EU2000. I will try one more place to see if they can better the $869 + $9 extra box

They did not ship my EU2000 yet. They said maybe by Tuesday 9/25. Boy save a few hundred and lose 2 weeks :{

My E2000 shipped last Friday and will be at my door today. I will test to see how many appliance I can run on it with my reef system.

I saw a 13 hp honda generator this weekend at Costco for $899.

It was the old style generator, not these fancy new ones you guys are talking about, which are much nicer/quieter I believe.

Simon, please let us know how loud it is when you crank it up and plug in a few things. I am still thinking about getting one depending on how it performs for you.

CW - the one from Costco is loud as heck. I tried it so I know. I thought it would be pretty quiet thinking it has a Honda engine but it's not the case. When it gets up that high in terms of output, noise is inevitable b/c the engine technology is different.

Thansk Pook, I figured as much. I have a briggs stratten old/loud style, and I'm thinking of getting one of these quiet Honda's. In last summers 4 day lng blackout, I actually had some ******* neighbor call the cops at 1am because of the noise of the genetrator.

I heard a EU2000 run outside of my work and i didn't even know it was on until i was about 7 feet from it. Superquiet. I'm waiting for the price to go down a little and pick one up.
