I am trying to figure out if I should upgrade my current tank or just drill my spare tank sitting in garage for a ghost overflow.

Hey,

I am sorry for the hype but I decided not to sell.

I got a few quotes from local and even a few tank manufacturers in LA and was very surprised by not only their build time but also cost.

Either tank I wanted had a 12 week lead time and the cost was 200-300 dollars more than I was quoted 6 months ago for the same sized tank.

I then started thinking about value of upgrade. If I were going to say a 48"x24"x20" (100g) then I could house different types of fish than I do now, fish I have been missing. Space in my house doesnt permit me to have anything over 36x24x20.

In the end it turned out to be a 1000-1500 dollar "upgrade" for such little real estate gained.

I apologize for any confusion but I may sell in the future if I can find space somewhere else in the house to add another larger tank.

If I were to sell it would be 400-500 but read above post. I was honestly going to sell it until I got replies from tank manufactures and thought about total cost of "upgrading" for such little real estate gained.
