thnks

if you know your tank is too young, why did you buy a nem? imo, your tank probably isn't even cycled completely. but you have to at least list some tank parameters for some help. what is sal,ph,ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,mag,temp, etc,etc. i don't think lighting is the issue. could be shipping stress or a whole list of things.

What size is your tank? How long have you had the anemone? What makes you think its bleaching?

i love it when i saw it
actualy my system just the tank only +- 1 month old, but LR, gravel, even the water is from my 50 gal tank that i was build it on jan '11.

water param is
sal = 1.027
ph = 8.1 (never test at nighttime)
amonia = 0
nitrite = 0
nitrate = 0.5 mg/l
PO4 = never test
temp = 82 - 84
calcium = 450

WC = 8 gal weekly, 2 teespoons cacl2 every 2 weeks, 3 teespoons caoh2 for 1 gal top up water for evaporation replacement, 20ml iodide n magnesium every WC, 25ml vinegar every months.

feed nem n clown every night with market prawn. but that clown always put every single prawn i feeded to it to the nem.

lighting is 4 months old

i dont acclimated the nem when i put it to the tank, just released it to the tank.

When anemones are fed too regularly, like everyday, they bleach out. Because the zooanthille in their tenticals, also feed them.

am not sure but as far as i know, adding vinegar into the tank, low your PH levels and again nem are delicate, I would always leave them as it is. once they happy again everything will be right in place. touching them, making changes into the water very often might stress him more. if it is not moving and staying at one place, i wouldn't worry. but if it's start splitting, and into abnormal size then i would worry. and you do not have to feed every night. just feed him 2 or 3 times a week.

75cm (l) x 40cm (w) x 30cm (h), +-23 gal i think.
about 1 month on my tank. it color just pale green, not so dark green

you might want to check your temp also, seems a little high. you should probably shoot for a max of about 80.

do u think weekly WC to often, how bout every 2 weeks bro ?
it never move since i put it to the tank, but it size bigger day by day, and the tentacle will stick on everything touched it.
hard to feed him 2 or 3 times a week coz when i feed the clownfish soon she will put it foods to that nem.
do u think i should separating the clownfish ? but if the clownfish separately from the nem will it stress, coz that fish very2 protective, even she will bite when i put my hand near the nem.

water change depends on filtration and amount of amm,nitrite and nitrates. if high, more often, if not less. most peeps do 25% about once a month.
if the tentacles are sticking to food given, that is a good sign.
nems get a lot of their "food" from light. you can supplement, but twice a week is probably fine, especially if the clown is helping out.
i would not seperate the two.
i don't know any reefers that keep their tanks that warm, hence chillers and fans.

After read that survey soon i turnoff the chiller.
Oo btw brown alga make me crazy. What do u think bout ATS bro?

Yes, I would do 2 weeks WC and see the difference. Sharing pic would help. Well it's been a month, I didn't feed my nem but it's doing good. Tumb rule, Less food= less nitrate= less poop= less water change. Maintain the water chemistry and provide good light color will come back.

you need to pull that ocellaris out. pretty much guaranteed that maroon will eventually kill it. nem looks okay, although in the video with the lighting its hard to see it.

will turn it back to lfs soon.
i'm feel nem not in top conditions, dunno what can i do beside WC n upgrade my lighting to make it happy n healty.
is it needed to upgrade my lighting to MH?

MH is not mandatory. i run t5's and my rbta's are more than happy. they have split twice in two years. i also keep many sps (tricolor,millis,efflo) and they do great as well. as long as you maintain good water quality, you'll do fine. as long as the bta is not melting away, give it some time.

oo i c. on my tank with 6 lamp do u think is sufficient, can i reduce lighting to 4 tubes because i hate nuisance alga.is 4 tube unsufficient for bta.

4 tube is probably okay, but instead of getting rid of 2, just cut down on the amount of time the tank is lit. or you could add some purple or pink lamps instead of getting rid of two. if you have phosphate issues, you should test. maybe run some gfo. phosphates= algea
