GBTA help!

I got a GBTA from a friend that had a gash near it's mouth! :( it mouth is gaping but the foot and tentacles are not stringy. I also smelled it and it was not stinky ( trust me i know what dead anemone smalls like). What are the chances of recovering for the gash and how do i fix gaping mouth and the tank is a year old and is my nano clown fish tank.

Here is what he looks like at today.

As an example, I picked up an RBTA last Wednesday and put him in my QT. I didnt have my heater protected well enough and he moved and burnt an area about 1/2" x 2" along 1 side.

He reacted much the same way as yours, didnt deflate but tentacles got short and mouth gaped for 2 days. He's now back to normal, eating and fully extended 1 week later.

I did a ton of research on here and the one thing that probably helped in my situation was that it was a very sterile environment in my QT. Had this been in my DT, it might've been a different story.

In my opinion, your nem will likely be fine given time to recover.

Where is the gash? Do you have a better picture?
