hi i just got a GBTA from my LFS yesterday and i chose him becasue he was bulbed up like no other and just looked great, and so when i took him home i acclimated him and he attached to the rocks with in 2 min and looked great, then this moring i woke up and he was all deflated and his mouth was open with brown stuff coming out of it, then maybe 30min after my fist light came on he started to bulb agein and after 45 min or so it was finally all bulbed up agein and i was satified, so since i thought he was good i thought i might try to feed him, so i got some P.E mysis shrimp and he didnt eat bacuse it didnt stick to him tenticales, because they dont feel sticky, and last before my atinics came on and my daylights came off, he started to deflate agein and opened him mouth when the atinics came on. SO my question is should i be worryed or what, if not how long can this go on until i need to be worred.

Also i just bought a second clown fish that was hosting a RBTA in the fish store, so do u think he will like the GBTA and if so could he "revive" him.
THANKS

Sounds like there is something about your tank it doesn't like and it's trying to get used to it. If you could post what your parameters are we may be able to help.

calcium and alk are normal, ph- 8.1, sal- 1.025 and everything is at zero but ammonia test kit says i have a very small amount of ammnia, but idk if thats right cause the test kit is a year old and the tank has been set up for about 5 months

calcium and alk are normal,

what is 'normal'? what about mag?

ammonia test kit says i have a very small amount of ammnia, but idk if thats right cause the test kit is a year old and the tank has been set up for about 5 months

get a new test kit and do it over.

as already stated, it could just be adjusting. bubbles will act up for no apparent reason. fish and inverts can actually irritate nems. just keep your eye on it.
