Gbta shrink

At night my 4 month old gbta is normal out tenticals are a lil small latly during the day he shrinks up and pulls his tenticals in he looks like his he closing up like a venus fly trap. I have been feeding him about 3-4 times a week latly. About two weeks ago i left for a week and two snails died , and my mom did'nt catch them so he shunk up a little bit. I did a water change and took out the snails the chemical levels have been normal about just about to retest to make sure. Will my guy come back or did the couple of days of ammonia spike do to much damage. He has yet to even move from his spot.

My GBTA shrinks up every night and when the lights come on in the morning it is back to full size again. It is how they expel waste.

Also, you probably don't need to feed it that much. I feed mine a small piece of silverside once a week, sometimes it gets fed more if the clown decided to bring food over.

Maybe too bright for him?

Cut back feeding to once a week.

He use to be just fine with the lights its the same ones that have been there since i had him

so far I got no ammonia or nitrates nitrites im trying to find out my mag results i lost the card. Anything else you need to know?

What about pH, Alk, and Ca?

These could have a negative effect on him if not kept in check(especially the first 2). Could be why your snails died.

snails were have a mass depression and ran them selves into the powerheads let me check em

ok so i added some Mg and then some cal alk additve which i did'nt think i needed since i just did a water change i feel so dumb for. i had an anenome before while back anyways he looks so well right now like his old self except his tenticles are still small but his body is amazing thank you so much
