Hey Guys,

I just started feeding my GBTA silversides. 10 hours after I feed my GBTA it spits out a slimy looking fish ball.

Is this normal?

Thanks for the help

Upset Tummy-ache....LOL :)
Mine did that the other night - gave him 2 pieces of Krill and he barfed one back up a few hrs later...today good as new... :)

I was talking with my LFS (Roozens outside of DC) and he told me that it was normal? I am still concerned. Does everyone concur that it is just an upset tummy?

Could the silversides be bad?

Thanks...

It could be the size of the silverside you gave it..mine will do the same thing if I give it too big of a piece. If it still does it after you give it a smaller piece..maybe it doesn't like silversides. Try giving it small pieces of raw shrimp, krill, mysis or sea scallops.

while ladipyg is right, its 'Sweet Home Alabama,' with all due respect to the Brothers Blue...

smaller less often, then working back up to smaller more often, then better lights, then splits, then more clowns and more bigger tanks...you see where this is going.

PLUS less waste means cleaner water and lower food costs.

I try to feed small pieces (no bigger than the mouth) about once per week. I also soak my food in selcon and zoe.
