Gem Tang (Spots verses broken lines)

I am considering a Gem Tang (See attached photo). As you can see in the photo this Gem Tang has more of a broken line pattern than spots on its body. Does anyone know if the broken lines will become more separated as it grows (current size about 4") and turn into spots or is this the pattern that will be maintained. Most pictures i've seen (even of smaller gem's) have spots not broken lines.

Beautiful fish! I'm going to go pick mine up in in about an hour, can't wait to get it in my 300 gal reef and watch it color-up as it gets settled.

I don't think I could convince myself to buy something that expensive, but its a great looking fish
