Gender Changes

I bought a pair of True Percs a month or so ago. They were both about 1.5" long. The female ended up dying about three weeks ago. Tomorrow I have the opportunity to get a great deal on a female, but I'm worried that perhaps the male would have since converted to a female? Anyone know how long it takes? Thanks!

it should still be a male and i would think if the new perc your getting is bigger than the one you have now would be ok
