General Skimmer Question?

if i have a 100 gallon dt with the right sized skimmer and sump and 600 gph flow through the sump and i desided to change to a 200 gallon dt (same sump,flow, and bio-load). Do i need a bigger skimmer? if no, than how do manufactures rate skimmers using tank volume?

Try what you have, it may or may not be enough. You might find it producing skim all of the time. Too many variables to determine absolutes in this hobby. The manufacture ratings are mostly a ballpark.
