Any chance there are some folks out there who are using the Genesis Renew (automatic water change system)?
Any experience feedback would be greatly appreciated.
reliability
effectiveness
ease of use
More technical - anyone have a diagram with the order of events? it sounds like the waste and new water fill at the same time which will be a 1 gallon reduction in water of the system. Then re-released. (1) how quickly does this cycle happen? How does the Genesis storm (top off system) know this is happening? If the cycle is quick it seems that the impact on a regular ATO would be minimal.
I've been looking at options and it appears to be between the genesis renew and using a litermeter III. I'm partial to the Genesis as the LiterMeter relies heavily on pump calibration.
For those who are interested in a good read on the effect of frequent water changes, take a look here: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-10/rhf/index.php
