Question for anyone that has or has owned a GEO calcium reactor...

Have any of you had a problem with the effluent rate slowing down sometimes over the course of a days time or even hours? I've read one post that said theirs slowed, but it was a piece of something in the tubing line..thats it. Other than that, everyone has been able to adjust their reactor without eflluent drip slowing problems?

Thanks..from what I've read..no one has had this problem with their Geo. I'm going to try to get in the club with GEO- 612. How does someone order one directly from GEO? Is it over email and then paypal? Strange that the price is on website but no way of ordering. Just found a phone number on the site...just left a message.

Thanks for the links...phishy unfortunately doesnt carry the 612 for whatever reason.

Favor to ask for someone that has a GEO-6xx model. Can you measure horizontally the base of the reactor to the edge of the lid lip that sticks out? I know the footprint says 9x9....but the distance that the lid sticks out might keep me from putting it behind my stand.

Refer to this picture and check out how the lip sticks out on the right over the base. Thats the distance I need.

Thanks in advance.

I just love this reactor. Easy to set up and dial in. Great instructions. We had bought a used one. (Not a GEO) it was old and a HUGE pain in the butt.

I do have a question. We also bought a Neptune Controler. I could not get the Probe very far down into the reactor. It is covered with water. The probe in this instructions looks further down. Has anyone else had this problem?

Does anyone know where to get info about the new GEO recirculating skimmers? Don't see these up on his website and don't see anything listed on the dealer sites.

Codeman00 I just measured mine, the overhang is 1 1/8" from the cylinder , the bottom 9"x9" footprint has a 1/4" exending past the cylinder on that side , so the total extra over hang from the 9"x9" footprint is 7/8".

tonym10, thanks for the measurements!

Its good news too...I might be able to fit the GEO behind my stand after all. Now all I have to do is find out how to order it which looks like its going to be harder than its suppose to be. Premium is out of them, PhishyBusiness doesn't carry the model I want, and you can't order directly from GEO. And to make things worse, George had a booth at the Nashville frag swap 2 weeks ago and if I would have known at the time, I would have went over and bought one then. I'll let you guys know how it all turns out.

Just send George an email about ordering. I'm sure he'll accomidate you, although you may have to wait a little while for it.

Lunchbucket I didnt post that link, when I emailed Geo to ask if it was ok to post the link he asked that I not post it.
