Has anyone modded the needlewheel to mesh on the Sedra 9000 pump that comes with the Geo NW 8 X 28 that Phishy sells?

My GEO family grew again

My GEO family grew again

Well after owning the GEO Kalk reactor and the GEO Calcium reactor I finally got around to getting the matching media reactor. A big thanks to Dan at saltycritter for getting this for me as well as some help from RokleM on my decision...Now to get a skimmer from George to go with it all :)

Dang, I don't even own a GEO media reactor:lol: Congratulations on your new purchase!!!

Coming from the guy that has almost 100% GEO (hear CWARD's begging for 8" acrylic cleaning GEO magnets :eek1:  ) that's one heck of a surprise! No wait... I don't think he made your poly sump ;)

That's pretty cool. What is it supposed to do better/ differently than a larger diameter skimmer with more pumps? (other than look pretty D*** cool)?

This beast has been pulling out almost 5 gallons of skimate a day. I've had to start topping off with new salt water to keep up.

I have a yellow tang in QT that will be living in the skimmer for algae control.

WOW!!! What are the dimensions of the skimmer?

I wish I would have put an algae blenny in mine for the same reason, lol!!!

Seriously?

Hollback's a graphic artist with quite an imagination.

Since were using our imagination here, can I have a 48"X144" skimmer powered by a Hemi motor and porcupines outfitted with scuba gear as the needle wheel impeller:lol:

Just having some fun. The actual skimmer is an 8"x42" skimmer with a single Ocean Runner Recirc pump. It should handle my 240 gallon system perfectly.

...oh and I don't have a yellow tang in QT.
