gestini true or false?

a lfs told me that gestinis love to eat buble algae:true or just BS? anyone have any input on this?

What is a gestini? I assume you are referring to Zebrasoma desjardinii, because gestini just sounds like an Italian word. At any rate, sometimes this species will indeed eat Valonia sp. etc., but I would not rely on it alone. Some specimens will not eat it, so manual removal would be necessary. However, these beautiful fish need plenty of swimming space--a 6ft tank is preferable.

yea that might be it; does it matter if the buble pops? is it fact that the liquid inside the buble if poped will release and in turn produce more buble algae?

Yes, the bubble contains multiple nuclei that will, in turn, become algal spores and spread the algae throughout the tank. That is why I prefer manual removal.
