So I'm doing my normal 5am search through my tank with a flashlight just to see how everything is doing (such a reef nerd!).

New golden coral banded shrimp pair still alive - check.

Acro polyp extension getting better - check

New sun polyps open yet - no :(

I pass by the clownfish....wait...what's that bright orange stuff on the rock?? Eggs!!! My clownfish spawned!! No idea if this is even the first time or not, since the wall hammer they stay in covers that whole area during the day, and I never look at the clowns at night

Anyways, just thought I'd share the news.....my camera is on loan to a friend right now, so no pics of the eggs, yet. But here are the clowns...

When I first got them...boy were they red!!

Well, there is a local guy that breeds clownfish, so I'll ask him about maybe putting a small tile in the spot where the eggs are, hoping they lay the eggs on it next time, and just giving him the tile....I'm not set up to raise fry :eek2:

It's just nice to know they are doing so well, and feel comfortable enough to breed, even in my hectic/high fish load system :o
