Get Those Generators Ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found this web site last power outage. Shows all power outages in the state (reported), updated every 15 minutes.

Looks like a lot in Monmouth County, but so far I'm good, got a nice fire going, nice day so far. Except that I'm working on installing a new Washer/Dryer, that sucks. Yes Marcelo, I broke down and upgraded. I did find where that stupid spring went, fixed the old one, but upgrading anyway.

Hmm

I have a spring wandering around the inside of my washer at the moment, for the lid interlock switch. Was going to go looking for it today, but it's amazing how you can keep things going with a pair of vice grips.:strooper:

No power glitches in Woodbridge yet, but there was a 3 foot drift between the front door and the sidewalk.

Yeah, just like jerry and francis, I live close enough near the water so that forecasts like these are "yeah whatever"

only problem is:

I went in to work yesternoon, closing manager you know....... rain until 10:30pm, closed the store, minor slush up in Brick, yeah whatever......

I was prepared for the "whatever," so i took it upon myself to get a hotel room at the closest place near my job....went out last night with a fellow manager to Appleby's for some late night dinner since we didn't get out until 11:30pm... it started snowing by the time I got back at 1:00am.....woke up this morning to my cell phone ringing with the message: "The DM says open at regular time!" I was soooooo excited that I ran to the car and power drove it out of its ice cage and opened up the store at regular time 10:00am and we've only helped 3 customers so far....

what a wonderful life!!!
10 inches and counting and I'm at work until 7 pm!!!

whoooooooooppppeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am stuck at work all day...darn sick people...how come someone doesn't tell them to stop bleeding when there is a noreaster...I could be home sledding with my kids. On another thought, maybe being stuck at work today isn't so bad...I could be home shoveling the driveway with my my wife.

Just got done with the first wave of snow blowing.. I would say there is about 2 feet... There were areas that I couldn't even see the snow blower and it's not like I have a small one either.

I have a new owner at my job.. I told him to get a snow removal plan in place.. He said it was a waste of money! We have one shovel at work that is about to fall apart..That should really be interesting in the morning! Our parking lot is between two buildings so the drifts are usually twice as high as the regular accumulation.

just got done with the snow blower so far so good but i allready have everything cover again , just got to get ready for second round but so far so good knock on wood

Can you believe I actually had to shovel maybe 2-1/2" of snow!!!!! Doesn't mother nature know I live south of Atlantic City!!!!! Sheeese!

We got 18 or so inches. Drained some gas out of the generator to put into the snow blower. You know what happened next...........yup the power went out about an hour after I got done with the snow. I had plenty of gas left for the short 2 hr outage. I love my generator.

Eric...

Yeah, probably, i was just looking for an old thread, and came across this one, thought i would have alittle fun.....hey, wait a minute ITS SNOWING!!!!
