Get well, Jack! You were missed tonight.

Jack, we heard about your accident at the meeting tonight. Story is that you may have been blown off the road by an 18-wheeler on your bicycle and fractured your clavicle. So sorry. Glad it wasn't worse.

I heard that Chris Stowers assumed the presidency for those critical moments when you were incapacitated. He exercised suitable restraint. All is well and no countries were invaded.

We missed you tonight at Emerald Bay. Sean was great in offering those discounts and letting us frag a blasto.

Keep well-medicated and get well soon. We look forward to your posting pictures :)

A broken collar bone is not too bad seeing the damage he caused the truck...

Seriously though, I hope you get better soon. We missed you out there.

WOW Jacck, after seeing those pictures, I'm really proud that you were not hurt any worse :)......You were missed and hope you are on the mend.

Here's the only pics I have. The first one is of me. My arm and leg on the left side are the most banged up. My head was pretty banged up too. I can't remember a thing for about a 3 hour time window on Saturday afternoon. The second picture is the truck sans trailer. He passed me going a little too closely, and my friend who drives a CAT caught up with him :D

Thanks guys.

I'm visiting the scene today and picking up my bike -- so I'll get to see what kind of shape it's in.

whoa! Sorry to hear Jack. Glad you're ok. What exactly happened? Did the truck stop to check on you?

Steve

Wow! I had no clue why you were not there! Sorry to hear you got hurt but glad you are going to be OK!! I called to see if you were going to be there and was just told "no" by whoever I talked with. I was going to grab you a table frag since this is the first meet I have made in forever but I will catch ya next time. Get better soon!!

After looking at my bike, the front and back wheels are cracked. I'll have to have the shop look at the frame to see if it is ok. The front wheel makes sense if I fell into the ditch at 20+ MPH and slammed into the ground. My helmet is shattered on the left temple and there are gravel imprints in it. The back wheel being cracked is a puzzler though because it wouldn't have hit anything that hard. The only thing I can think of is I got hit by the end of the trailer and knocked off the road.

The truck guy didn't stop. The people who helped me out didn't see the accident but got there very soon after and the truck wasn't there. I was dazed and confused -- didn't even know my name for a while. I don't remember a thing between thinking "man that guy isn't giving me much room" and arriving at the hospital in the ambulance.

I'm glad I'm going to be ok as well. Life is fragile. Could have been gone in an instant. One moment I'm thinking about how much fun I'm having on my bike, and the next moment -- blank.

Now I've got to figure out a way to get out there myself :)

Yourself? What about the rest of us, Prez? Can't you get a MTRC discount?

Enjoyed your dad's pics. He got some great close-up shots of that assassin bug!

BTW Jack, I just got a purple mushroom from Kalied20 that looks a lot like your eye. :D Glad your breathing.

Wow, Jack... without that helmet, it may have been your head that the crack went all the way through!

Lets hope Howard's mushroom stays purple and your eye heals up. ;)
