Getting a Juvenile Gold Flake Angel to Eat

I have a juvenile, aprx. 2-2.5 inch GoldFlake (possibly a hybrid but that's a different story) in my QT. He's only been in there since last night, so it's still early, but I've tried small amounts of mysis, 'mega marine angel', 'mega marine algae', and hikari 'plankton' frozen foods, as well as new life spectrum pellets and live brine, but haven't had much luck yet. I have a few pieces of live rock in there, so hopefully he is picking on that as well.

This morning he ate a few mysis, and but tonight he didn't touch it, although he ate a few pieces of mega marine angel.

Ive done a 10% water change to keep nutrients in check and although it looks like it, I've really not fed a lot of actual food.

I'm thinking about trying some clams and LRF foods tomorrow, and have not been able to find black worms. Any other suggestions?

His eating which is good. Although it is only small bits he is still eating. It could be he doesn't particular like what is being offered. Fish are snobs at times.

Secondly, is he clear of any disease? What does your quarantine process look like? Are you treating?

Would love to see a picture of this potential hybrid!!! :)

The Goldflake is in a 20 gallon tank with a heater, MP10 for flow (lower setting), some live rock so he can graze and to help with biological filtration, and some PVC pipe for cover. At the store, he was treated with copper and Prazi, which coupled with slight stress of travel to my house, may be the reason why he's not eating. I have prazi on hand in case, but I want to get the fish eating first.

The fish looks super healthy and is acting like a normal angel; exploring the tank, cautious of me initially, but quickly shows curiosity, and is swimming like a 'normal' angel so I'm optimistic. Just want to get the juvenile fish eating well.

Can you share video of general behaviour? If the fish has disease you will see a change in behaviour before the visible markings are actually there.

How do you know the store actually quarantined the little guy? Did you see them doing it or how do you know this was done? I have caught out stores from saying that they quarantine and then go contrasting information later on. I always quarantine fish myself to ensure that it is done.

That's a nice looking angel, as long as he is eating a bit you should be fine. I saw a juvenile goldflake a while back at a lfs i didn't have the guts to pull the trigger on getting him... Just couldn't come to terms at the time on getting an angel. What lfs did you pick him up at that treated him with copper and prazi? If you don't mind me asking.

Thanks for the compliment. I bought some Larry's Nano formula and some frozen spirulina brine. I also picked up some chaetomorpha, with the hope that there will be additional pods.
