My first lta did that it usually means they are "wandering" or looking for something they can't find. Basically they are looking for something either more light or flow. You also might want to check your nitrates. They really don't like them
dig a hole and put its foot in there and turn off all powerheads for a day, they like being in sand. After he sets his foot you can turn the flow back on and he won't get blown all over.
to get mine to stay i dug out a little bit of sand about the size foot and let it attach to the rock and bottom of the tank through the sand. i turned off the powerhead on that side of the tank for about 12 hours or so.
