getting a mantis have a ?

im getting a mantis really soon and i just had a question for all of you. i have a flame scallop thats aound 2 and a half inches long and the mantis im getting is a 1 inch smasher and im putting the mantis in with the scallop in a 10 gallon. do you think the mantis will eat the scallop?

you can never tell, but if he gets big enough he might get the inclination he might take out a chunk.

I have a small smasher - about two inches - it likes to take mussels and break them open. A scallop's a bit bigger, and has a thicker shell, but if the mantis gets hungry, he might decide the scallop's lunch.
