Getting a pair of S. Gigantea....need some advice!

Green one looks fantastic! The blue one was dead today when I got home from work, it expelled its guts:( I did feed the green one yesterday and it ate a few large mysis and a piece of krill.

Sorry to hear about the blue one...but glad to hear the green one is doing well. Has either of he Clarkii's moved into it?

What did Dr Mac say about the blue one when you contacted them?

Nick

The Clarkii's have moved into the green one. Dr. Mac has been awesome as usual:)

Hmmm, not a good sign today. The green carpet has shrunk in the last couple days. I have been feeding a piece of krill or scallop every couple days, not big pieces either. Any thoughts?

I have a small Clarkii that is hosting in the anemone and a larger Clarkii that is back and forth between this one and the M. Doreensis.

When you say shrunk....are you talking overall size or deflated?

Nick

Overall size appears much smaller.

Are any of your fish jamming their heads in the mouth? I think that is what killed my Gigantea. Naughty fish.

What's the latest on the green one?

It is doing good! It was moving off the small piece of liverock and on to the large piece, it might have shrank to facilitate a safe move.

I got a blue Gigantea today that looks like it is doing good so far. I will get pics up later when Nick gets a chance.

The blue Gigantea looks great today, tight mouth, good color, nicely folded and inflated. The green shrunk down again last night before the lights went out and looked like it was moving a bit ??because of a slight adjustment in a powerhead which gave it a little more flow. It looked great yesterday.

Thanks, Randy! Yes, this has been a challenge.

Here are pics of both today:
