Getting out Big List w prices

We just got back from Kynan's home tonight. I'll start out with this...from my very first visit to his home years ago I realized what kind of reef-keeper I truly wanted to be and how I wanted MY tank to someday look like. My girlfriend sat in awe at his tank and talked for hours, days, weeks and years about the beauty we had seen. I watched a man take from his tank and give to the club all the time without a word. When my tank crashed he came to my home and filled my tank right before Christmas. We have lost a great man in our hobby and I hope that everyone realizes this! With that said, when anyone goes to his home to make a purchase, please don't insult him in any way by trying to talk him down in any of his already extremely low prices! All of his fish are beautiful, huge and healthy as well as the coral and I was astounded at the prices that he was asking. I can only hope that someday the coral I purchased can return to their home again but, in the meantime, thank you so much for being a friend and such an inspiring reef-keeper!

I will be back some day in some form but listening to my heart this is the right call st the right time. I hope I have priced things fairly and will have good luck if and when I get back in. As I told Chris I will miss the people but what I feel worst about is destroying what my inhabitants have known as their home. So please all I ask is you have the right conditions for anything you buy. My 19 yr old hates my decision. Works pt at petco and sees death from over anxious and underinformed.

Radiant wrasse gone. Great fish. Took 4 tries to get one from vivid in la to take. First two went immediately in the sandandnever saw them again.
My best advice to anyone in this hobby is to enjoy what looks good to your eye and create a habitat and community. Resist the temptation to have all the "rare" nonsense. Been there done that. When you see a pm you grow from a nub to a 4 inch colony and then melt from atouch by another coral, you realize a powderblue tang ismuch more pretty and a fat algae blenny is muchmore interesting andgets twice as manycomments.

I honestly think I just shed a tear...if this thread was written 3 days ago I would have been at your door with the 1700 I just spend on something that could have waited 6 months...
Sorry to hear you taking a break...im sure its for the best...its nice to know people like you are still giving.back to the community. Hopefully some goodies will be left for me to scoop up.

Kynan, I don't know you, but I always feel sad when I know somebody is leaving this hobby. I don't see your tank either, but someone here have had mentioned how beautiful a tank you have ... so sad, I hope it will never happen to me even my tank is not as nice as yours.
