Getting out of Salt Water

Hi Guys/Gals

LIPA has won the battle and I will be breakin down my reef, I am not able to justify half my electric bill coming from my hobby.Everything must go except the tank,stand and canopy. I will be selling the inverts first, than the rock, (fish I can catch) and finally the equipment. I will not sell any equipment or rock until the inverts and fish are gone. All of these animals are being kept under 2X250MH and 6 110vho bulbs

Here goes:

2 Rose BTA 25 and 15
3 Green BTA 25 each
6 atlantic condy anenome's 15 each( purple,blue tip and cream)
1 lg neon green carpet 50
1 md turquoise carpet 30
1 lg Mauve carpet 40
1 elephant ear mushroom 25
1 large blue ridge 30
tons of green star polyp 10-20 depending on the piece

Fish
Yellow Tang 2'' 20
Foxface 4'' 25
Rabbitfish 2" 20
Harlequin Bass 2-3" 25
Majestic Angel - PM me
Snowflake Eel 14" 25
Large Red Clown-10
Lime Coris wrasse 2" 15
Annapais Wrasse 2" 25
Blue Throat Trigger 2'' 25

Lots of real nice encrusted rock- 3 bucks a pound or by the piece. Mostly Figi This is some real nice rock that has been in this tank for 7 years

I am not looking to trade or really bargain with prices. Anyone who knows me or has gotten things from me in the past knows that the animals will be healthy and very reasonable. PM me and I will send pictures, I have a hard time posting them larger than a postage stamp on this site

andy i hear ya. i think my folks bill has dropped about 200-300 since i took my 90 gallon down.

but if you wanted why not just nix about a 1/3 of the vho's 6 is intense for that tank.

But I am thinking about retiring and living on the old fixed income. I have decided that if I can not have the right lights, water movement etc, it not fair to the animals. I will keep the tank up with ONE mag 9 return,2 40w lights and mant ciclids

I feel your pain lipa ran my 300 into sale also.

Just cannot justify what i was paying for a hobby and i was running T5's / 2 pumps and a heater

I just checked my bill and compared last year same time to this year. It is costing me exactly $100 a month to run the tank. What is everyone else running that they pay an extra $300 mo? I am running 450W of T5's a heater 2 powerheads, a return pump and skimmer.
