the time has come. store just received 7 6-7" RBTA. $100. sounds kinda pricy but i don't know. is it? guy in store said they are extra rosy, more than usual. this will be first anenome in 11 years of saltwater. it's going in my 92 corner sps tank. after it's settled i will get a pair of clowns, probably small maroons. i have a lovely spot picked out which i hope it stays at. it's bottom 1/3 of tank in good lighting and flow, where 3 LR chunks meet w/ a 2" hole in between where they meet. is this an ideal spot for an RBTA? do they like having their foot anchored on LR or near a small hole they can retract into? acclimate like anything else? any precautions touching the RBTA?

Well, place it where you will...it will quite likely move! Make sure your smaller corals are on moveable rocks...you may need to move things out of the way as it starts to stake out it's own territory. Eventually it will settle down and stay put. I found that if you want to encourage it to stay put, feed it. Seems to me that if it's fed I thinks it found an ideal eating place and sets up camp.

i placed it where i want. he's anchored down. hopefully stays put. i fed it w/ mysis in baster. i guess when they eat they kinda turn tentacles in, right? it's tips in stores only had a few that were bubbled up. now most are bubbled up. i only have VHO's on for now. don't know if i should put MH on for an hour or so or just wait till they come on tomorrow at 2pm. anyway it's friggin beautiful. i got pick of the litter. they had 7. i bought nicest, most rosy, largest 1. in store it was about 6.5-7".

I wouldnt get a apir of maroons I I were you. Theyd beat that Anemone especially if just establishing to death. Best go with a clown species a bit smaller.
