Getting ready for new anemone

I am getting a new GBTA soon. I have read in several places that people recommend covering the powerheads until the nem is settled. What do you use to cover them? Thanks!

I think there's a plastic mesh you can get from craft stores. I've also heard of people using pantyhose. If you google "Karen's rose anemones" she gives instructions on covering powerheads.

Whatever you end up using, it would be safest to keep your powerheads covered 24/7, even after the nem settles in. If the nem decides to go walkabout (which they do sometimes, when they're about to split, for example) you don't want it to go into a PH--and they seem irresistibly drawn to them!

BTAs rairly move across sand. If you make a rock island with sand between the rocks and the glass it is very unlikely the BTA will cross the sand to the glass where the powerheads will be mounted.

The rock island is an excellent idea, but they can still detach from the rock and float--I've had it happen, even though mine are on a bommie. Keep 'em covered!
