Getting Rid of Bubble Algae???

Hi All,

I bought a piece of SPS from a local a few months ago. Upon picking up this frag, the rock had a few bubble on it. I did removed all the bubble before adding it to my display.

However, the bubble algae is growing all over my rocks. I was told that an Emerald crab eats this. I've purchased 2, but haven't seen they do the job.

Please advise if there is any other success that you guys may have on getting rid of bubble algae?

Thank you!

I have never had luck with emeralds either. Pick them off by hand and be real careful not to pop the bubble. If it doesn't come off easily, wait a few days and try again.

A few different tangs may eat it... But I don't recommend grabbing a tang for any tank to help remedy this problem. Every once in a while I get a few here and there and suck them out via a siphon hose during water changes.

When I had my 450, I had quite a bit start to take over and then one day my naso decided that they tasted good and I didn't see any in that tank again;)
