Hi,

Anyone have a good idea how to get rid of palys without taking the rock out and chipping it?

thanks
David

best way is chip the thin layer of rock right underneath it.. I would'nt scrape it or rip it off.

Plus if you do it clean, you can trade the unwanted critter.

Just curious, and I don't mean to be offensive, but why do you want to remove them my friend? They must be encroaching on other corals maybe.

No offense taken and its a good question, I should have mentionned it in my first post.
Problem is, I have 2 kinds of Paly in my tank, one is deep green and is quite nice (which I want to keep) but the other is pale brownish-green ugly colored and it hiked on some live rock I bought. The ugly ones grow like crazy and I have at least 3 different spots. As I buy only fragged coral and grow them, the damn palys grow way too fast for the others and are taking too much space.
Thats why I want to get rid of them. And I tried to give away some of them and even free nobody wants it.
