getting rotational flow from powerhead

what do you call those devices that fit onto the output of a powerhead and use the force ofthe ater to rotate around 360 degrees for variable direction flow? I saw one but did not see the name of it. If you have one, how much did you pay?

correct answer! - i just found it by doing a search on Ebay using as many descriptive words as I could think of and you already answered my post - thanks! Are they any good? I see it works with up to 310 GPH so my MJ1200 will be good.

Surprising though it is cheaper at marinedepot than at almost every one of the ebay stores.

I bought one and I don't think it is a very good product. The rotation stops eventually and you have to clean them constantly. I real pain in the neck. With my experience I would not buy another. I think there are better ways to go.

I like to minimize that type of maintenance and concentrate on keeping up with the water changes and overall water quality.

But hey if Steverino wants to buy one it's his choice. He can then share his experience good or bad.

Then I might volunteer to be the guinea pig for the good of my fellow reefers on ReefCentral! (If you would like to send me your equipment for this kind of factual evaluation, please let me know.)

for the price you cant go wrong! i have a couple, one did quit working after about six months of use, but i could fix it. the down side for me is the size. they add about 4" of length to the powerhead. they also will reduce the out put quite a bit. but for the less than $15 price they work great. they will chop up the water flow, witch corals love. is there better products out there? yes, but not for those like myself that are budget limited.
