As stated, i am just now setting up my tank with refugium. Chaeto was the best macro when i left. Anything else come along that is considered better at absorbing nutrients? TIA

Most people seem to use Chaeto. I've never had luck with keeping it (likely because I don't dose iron). I am currently using 3 different species of Caulerpa.

Oh man.. i had quite the battle with grape and i think taxolia caulerpa? I'll never put that in my tank again.
Gotcha. I've had that issue is the past with a previous tank. But, so far, the Caulerpa has remained in the fuge only.

I find my ATS works much better at keeping nutrients under control. See my DIY thread on building one for less than $30. Control it by changingbyour light cycle. I have slways had duper high nutrient tanks. If i turn on my ATS lights 24/7 they quickly drop to zero. Which is not ideal, but it is easy to do.
