Getting that color??

Yeah it is a 20k for sure. I dont blame you for not believing that it has the same PAR as a Phoenix. I would not if I did not test it myself. Now the Phoenix had a little better PAR but not to much, anywhere from 5-50ish at different areas. The Oddysea seems to be holding spectrum pretty well. I put my 1 month old Phoenix back in a while last night and it is much whiter than the 20k. You can see from the pics that the bulbs grow my sps well. I may try out a XM 20k to see how I like those. There are many people having great results with Ebay bulbs. IMO you are paying for a name with many bulbs.

Agreed I don't pay for names I pay for quality and if it's 15 vs 100 and the same quality I'm going for 15

Yep. I could really care less if people bash my choice of bulb but the proof is in my corals. I like them and I know how they perform, thats enough for me. Now pretty much anything else made by Oddysea is crap and cheap. I owned their in sump/HOB 75 skimmer and it was so cheap. I also used their small HOB fuge skimmer it was built well but the skimmer pump as cheap and the skimmer did not work very well. I only like their bulbs and they need to be used on a ballast other than Oddysea.

I was not referring to you as you where just asking questions. Some people like LFS employees have though. No offense intended.

Ok here are those pics of the new growth. This is just some of the new tips. Pic suck like always but the tips are purple.

0 TDS water, stable parameters, 1 drop of Lugol's daily seems to help, increasing no3 a little and I think my change in lighting helped out to.

I got my new skimmer!! Very happy with the quality of the build, very well made. Uses an Atman pump. Going to hook it up tonight.

in post #366, what is that coral in the first two pics?
It is an unknown acro, it was actually the first sps I put in the tank. I bought it as a 3 inch browned out frag. It is now one of the largest corals in my tank, has survived some ruff times and come out a camp imo. I have had good color in the past with it but never the purple it has now. Had light blue tips at one point before I messed things up. IF you look back threw the thread you will see pics of it at its worse and now, it is in the upper center of the tank to the left of the big birds nest.

I got my new skimmer in today! Here is a quick review. I will post up a full review thread as well. It was packaged well, shipped fast, is built very well and is simple to use. It is not a BM NAC7 as I thought but it is a clone of one and uses an Atman 2000 pump. After a fast HOT water cleaning for 10 min I took out my NW110 and made room for the SC150 cone skimmer and plugged it in. It started right up with no issues at all and in about 10 min it was starting to build a head of foam. I and very impressed with this skimmer. I paid $95 of it and others have paid as low as $75 from the sale seller. So far a great skimmer. Look for the review for more. A teaser pic

I also got my new bulb in today. Sadly it was broken in shipping, waiting to hear back from the seller to get it replaced. Not the first time I have ordered bulbs from this sell and not the first time I got a broken bulb but I always get a replacement with no hassle, good seller. I am bummed though I wanted to see if the spectrum of my old bulb had shifted at all. Guess I will need to wait a little longer.

I just picked up some frags from my favorite LFS Reef Culture, they always have really nice sps. I was lucky enough to get one of the guys to frag me a piece of a wild Aussie sps, it looks like a Granulosa to me. I also got a small unknown acro that looks to have some promise of good colors. Picked up some frag putty while I was there so I will be mounting a few corals. Pics of the new frags once they are in the tank an lights are on. Now I have 2 more corals that I dont have room for LOL. I need to upsize.

More pics we all like pics. My 2 new corals
