GFO Reactor

BRS dual chamber,,GFO and carbon simple and effective.fairly priced ,,unless you love equipment..

I have and use both the TLF and BRS reactors. IMO, the TLF is easier to adjust and fits in a smaller footprint, the BRS is easier to clean and can hold more media (GFO/carbon)

I have the brs deluxe reactor, you can use both carbon and gfo at the same time if you want to, you just need to use the foam insert.

I have BRS deluxe reactors that I've taken offline as they are a pain, to me, to change the media. Looking into the minimax reactors by Innovative Marine simply due to their ease of media changing. If you don't mind taking apart the BRS reactors and reassembling they are great.

They're all good, the designs are simple and for the most part very similar. In other words, it's hard to go wrong.

You might consider asking a mod to move this thread to the Lighting & Equipment forum, as you might get more responses.

W/ regards to your question, the answer is "it depends". As in it depends greatly on the size of your tank, how much room you have in your sump, etc...

not trying to b a jerk but y is this in the advanced forum lol

ive always used tlf, cant think of a reason to use somthin else

As far as im concerned for the most part a gfo reactor is a gfo reactor i dont think there is to much difference between them there all similarly built and all work the same

Depends on a number of things like said above , but for a smaller tank , I'm also looking at the minimax reactors .... They look super simple and very easy to clean and change media. They have a desktop , mid size and full size version. ..
